Male Mentor Program – is a mirror image of the P.R.I.D.E. program and is led by male mentors and places some emphasis on male gender-specific issues. The program consists of five 3-hour sessions run by professionally trained staff. Guest speakers and performers make presentations during the sessions and art activities and subject matter based on the seven principles of Kwanzaa are interwoven into each session.
Members of the Male Mentor Program are taught life skills, participate in arts and crafts, go on field trips and culminate the session by working in a professional studio and producing a CD. The first produced CD was used in 2008 for the anniversary of the Plainville Historical Society.
