Tracy Nixon-Moore

Tracy Nixon-Moore’s affiliation with the Queen Anne Nzinga Center began over 12 years ago when her children participated in the programming. She is a member of the Board of Directors and also serves as the Vice President.  Tracy is a Bryant University alumnus and currently enrolled in Cornell University’s Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program.  She also holds certifications for several psychometric assessment tools and training programs (Developmental Dimensions International, Korn Ferry Coaching for Performance Excellence). Tracy has humbly been awarded the 100 Women of Color Award, 25 Most Influential Blacks of New Britain Award, and the Queen Anne Nzinga Exceptional Woman Award. 

Tracy has worked as a professional trainer in human resources and leadership development for over 20 years. Her career includes experiences in large corporations and as a recruiter and HR business partner in the non-profit sector. She is a former President of the Board of Directors for the YWCA of New Britain. In addition to serving on the board of QANC, she engages in the same capacity at Grace Community & Economic Development Corporation and at Capital Workforce Partners. In her current role, she leads the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Organization at General Dynamics Electric Boat.

Tracy loves seeing others thrive and QANC offers her a variety of ways to feed this personal passion. She is dedicated to creating a-ha moments that help others grow professionally and personally. She leans on her training, organization effectiveness, and leadership capabilities to help move QANC forward. Tracy is an avid reader and art enthusiast who loves to cook. She is a Connecticut native, who resides in New Britain with her husband, Willis. She is the super proud mother of three children, Maya, Samantha, and Will.
